Happy Halloween!

Friday, October 31st, 2008

I know that I can’t be any more original for a title to this post. Regardless, we got together with the usual crew, our good friends Sean and Michelle and their extended family. Some of the pix are a bit blurry, but that was the best that I could post of all the girls together. Norah and Charlie went as frogs and poor lil’ Charlie was the only boy! He’ll probably enjoy it much more when he’s more interested in girls. Then he’ll be having the time of his life! And of course, Norah had a blast since she was with her best buddy, Delphine! Thanks again Sean, Michelle, Jeanne, Sean, and Larry for hosting! We love you guys!

Funny Face Pix

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

This is how we entertained each other at dinner the other night. Norah is a master at funny faces!

He’s up to no good I tell ya!
I heard Charlie babbling out in the kitchen and this is what I come out to find. He cleverly pushes the case of beer over to the stove and stand up on top of the box to get to whatever he was looking for, which I still have yet to determine….at least he was NOT hurt and nothing was on. That, and he’s so cute when he’s so mischievous!

Norah's Big Plan

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Norah was up to something tonight. We looked down to discover Norah trying to lure her brother into the living room using a trail of baby food. We can’t believe how well it actually worked.

Just chillin’ and playing some guitar with dad!

DSC_6369.jpg DSC_6365.jpg DSC_6360.jpg

Norah’s been into photography a bit lately. Maybe this is her calling and she’ll take after her dad. These next ones are funny. She asked me to take pictures of the bottom of her feet. I then discovered how dirty my floors are and how bad I need to clean them. Hey what can I say. I’m a mom of 2 (sometimes 3…sorry Ryan) and hardwood floors are high maintenance! I then, of course had to include the pretty close up pic of her face to make up for the dirty feet ones.

Norah took these.

“Hi Mom. I know that I’m not supposed to be in here, but I was looking for Norah’s arts and crafts stuff that she doesn’t like me playing with. Please don’t mind me. I’ll be done is a sec!”

Hispanic Heritage Assembly

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Norah’s pre-k class sang a song in Spanish at their 1st assembly last week. I of course, was there to capture some smiles from Norah and her classmates. It was the cutest thing ever!

Didier Fun with good friends

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

We went to Didier again this year with our good friends Sean and Michelle and their daughters Madeline and Charlie! Yep, that’s right, you read it correctly. Her name is Charlotte, but they will call her Charlie. She’s only 4 weeks old and let me tell you, she is the cutest most adorable little girl! I can’t wait to hug her as I love new babies. Especially ones named Charlie!! 😉 We missed you Deli, Jeanne and Sean.

I just really like this pic

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

You can just imagine what Charlie’s face looks like (since you can’t see it) as he’s looking up at Norah, filled with curiosity. Charlie adores and loves Norah. He can even say her name!

Uggghhhhh….Construction on our building

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

From our bedroom window, we have access to a lightwell that we share with 11 other units in our building. For 4 of those units, this light well or courtyard is their ONLY access to any source of natural light. It’s really a shame as they had no view whatsoever. The owners on the 3rd and 4th level opted to have a contractor come in and knock out these windows from the existing brick about the size of 16’x18′ feet, which would give them an open view to the outside world other than that brick wall and the lightwell. The construction has been very loud and Charlie’s nap time has been a struggle, but the outcome is absolutely fabulous. Here are some pix of before, in the process and the finished product. It’s quite amazing how much more natural light we get in the afternoon as well as how bright it is in the room. BLINDING, actually…

Yeah!!! Dad's first night home!

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

These were from last week, but we’re trying to catch up with dad being at home and getting back into a normal routine and all. First the kids needed a bath and as you can tell, they both love bath time. (I know that I’ve pointed that out many times before.)

Dad picked up Norah from school as a surprise and if we only had a picture of her face when she saw that Daddy was home! I think that these picures show how happy she is as she pretty much was attached to him from the moment he got home!
