Norah dressed up Charlie in her little cooking apron and Charlie put on his charm, trying to take a pic of me, while I took a pic of them!

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009Hangin' out here in our loft
Thursday, January 8th, 2009Just some of my fave pix that we’ve taken so far this year. The other little boy is our upstairs neighbor AJ. He’s about 6 weeks older than Charlie. And Norah loves to make beds for Charlie. Surprisingly, he does not hesitate at all when it comes to that soft material. The kid LOVES to sleep, I tell ya!
This is a new book that the kids got for Daddy for Christmas. Charles Fuge. He’s one of our faves!
Priceless…….
Our annual week long trip back to Iowa for the Holidays! "Mama, Daddy, are we there yet?"
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009Sadly for our parents, family and friends…this was our last trip back to Iowa over the holiday. Not that we don’t love everyone, cause we honestly do, it has just become too much work for us to be everywhere, running around trying to see everyone, and last but not least, be stressed out. So in 2009, we plan on staying here in Chicago, stress free (we hope) relax, enjoy our time as a family and most importantly, we won’t have to tell Santa where we’ll be on Christmas morning! 😉
So here are some pix of our week long excursion.
Beginning at Melinda’s dad and Joyce’s house in DM
At Melinda’s mom and Bill’s house in DM
On Christmas morning at Papa Jerry and G’ma Joyce’s house
At Ryan’s parent’s house along with his sister Kelly and her fiance Jon.
Good thing Norah and I made the snowman when we did. It only lasted a few hours. Later that evening, their back deck was completely snow free!
And here is Norah, who simply can’t resist to strike a pose for the camera. She’s wearing dress up clothes of G’ma Ruthie’s!
And last but not least….this is what we can look forward to, when Norah’s a teenager! 😉
Santa and the Zoo Lights
Monday, January 5th, 2009We went to Lincoln Park Zoo to see the zoo lights and of course, have Norah talk to Santa about what she wanted for Christmas. And we can never leave without a ride on the carousel. It was cold, and the snow was coming down like buckets. Unfortunately the pix that we took of the lights does not do justice as seeing them in person. They were beautiful. Sadly, the lights came down yesterday. Until next year.
Silly Faces by the one, the only, Norah Jane!
Monday, January 5th, 2009Up on the rooftop…..Ho Ho Ho!
Sunday, January 4th, 2009So this was pre-holiday and our week long trip back to Iowa. We (Norah, Charlie and myself) had planned on heading up on our rooftop with our neighbor and her son AJ, but it literally took me about 30 mins of chasing both kids around and getting everyone bundled up, including me! It was exhausting. And then when we got up there, we missed our neighbors cause we took so long. Next time guys!
