Norah wanted socks on her hands this morning

Monday, May 29th, 2006

After putting socks on her baby doll’s hands this morning, Norah decided that she needed socks on her hands as well. So we put some on her. Then, she went into Mom’s closet and brought a pair of socks for Mom to wear on her hands. Afterwards she walked around and did a little dance to celebrate while singing a little song.

Norah is still a Monkey

Thursday, May 25th, 2006

Norah has started doing things (acting silly) to make us laugh. This is a little hard to see at first, but she scrunched herself down and put her shoulders and arms down like a monkey. Then she says. “Look at Norah, Mommy”. When she notices that Dad has a camera, she takes off running.

still crazy

Couldn't sit still

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

Again, on our flight back home from Austin, Norah couldn’t sit still. Then she fell asleep as soon as we landed. Even the train ride into the city couldn’t shake her awake.

Bats!

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

There is a bridge in downtown Austin where bats live. In the summer at dusk, roughly 1.5 million of them stream out in columns over the course of about 30 minutes. It is sort of a spectacle. A stinky spectacle. We went to see it before we left town. Norah loved it. We ran into some friends/co workers there that just moved to Austin – Stacy and Joe Doyle – and met their dog Molly. What are the odds?

Chuy's

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

Had dinner at Chuy’s in Austin. It was awesome. Norah had a little melt-down and we had to take her outside until she calmed down. She loves tex-mex. She could eat rice and beans every day.
